AutoFix was established in September 2015 by Paul Townley after he saw a need for a new type of personalised automotive service that brings together the best skills, tools and knowledge of mechanics, auto-electrics, upholstery, in-car entertainment and performance upgrades to serve the public for their automotive needs.
Paul is a perfectionist car enthusiast who is a very methodical and meticulous worker. He started in the motor trade in 1997 as a Peugeot Technician apprentice. He has since served in the roles of Jaguar Technician, BMW Technician, Ford Technician, Renault Technician, Royal Navy Aircraft Engineer, Green Flag and AA Patrol.
After becoming disillusioned by blue chip main dealers pushing bonus schemes which make staff cut corners rather than doing the job to their full potential (just so they can earn extra money), he decided to embark upon his own business in the motor trade.
Paul has been interested in cars since he was 15. He soon became fascinated with performance and modified cars and in particular diagnostics, vehicle electrics, electronics, security, upholstery, car audio and in-car entertainment systems.
Paul has designed and built bespoke vehicles featuring complex vehicle electronics, security, in-car entertainment, LED lighting, and luxurious upholstery. He has also designed and manufactured uprated charging systems, suspension, braking and driveline components to meet customer requirements.
